NETFUND provides grants to organisations and communities undertaking environmental management projects across Kenya.

NETFUND Grant Programmes

We provide grants, technical assistance, and capacity support to NGOs, CBOs, county governments, private sector, and research institutions working on environmental projects in Kenya.

Up to KES 2M

Community Environmental Grants

Small grants for community-based organisations (CBOs) and self-help groups undertaking tree planting, wetland restoration, waste management, or clean energy projects at the local level.

NGO Environmental Programme Grants

Medium-scale grants for registered non-governmental organisations (NGOs) implementing structured environmental programmes with demonstrated capacity, governance, and accountability systems in place.

Green Enterprise Development Grants

Grants to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) developing innovative green products, services, or business models that contribute to environmental management and create sustainable livelihoods.

Grants for universities, research institutions, and think-tanks undertaking applied environmental research that generates actionable knowledge for policy and programme development in Kenya.

Collaborative grants and co-financing arrangements with county governments for large-scale environmental projects aligned with County Integrated Development Plans (CIDPs) and Kenya's NDC commitments.

International Climate Finance Facilitation

NETFUND serves as an accredited entity and facilitates access to international climate funds including GEF, Green Climate Fund, and bilateral climate finance for qualified Kenyan organisations.

Complete the Application Form

Complete the NETFUND Grant Application Form, including project budget, logical framework, and organisational documents.

Submit Your Application

Submit your completed application by email to grants@netfund.go.ke or deliver physically to NETFUND offices by the stated deadline.

Review & Due Diligence

NETFUND's technical team reviews your application. Shortlisted applicants may be invited for further engagement or site visits.
